Posture
Affects Your Health
Your posture is the window to your spine
and nervous system. Meaning, any postural distortions
are a
reflection of the weakened, distorted
structure of your spine.
Your
spinal cord is encased inside your spinal column.
The function of your spinal cord is to carry life and
energy from the brain to all the vital organs, tissues
and cells of your body. ALL the functions of your
body are totally dependent on that life force coming
through your spinal cord which is carried through the
nerves, giving your body the optimal
chance to function at its highest, God-given potential.
Abnormal, or weakened posture adapts
negatively to the continual forces of gravity.
Therefore, our
weakened and distorted spines and spinal cords will be
subjected to continual and progressive
compression as well as tension trauma from the
gravitational forces resulting from our poor posture.
Progressive
breakdown of your posture and its effect
on your overall health, has been extensively documented.
Doctors conducting studies at the Shealy
Institute, in 1994,
have found that posture affects and moderates every
physical
and
mental function of the body. “Spinal pain, blood
pressure, headaches, pulse, lung capacity, and mood are
only
a
small portion of the body’s functions that are most
easily
influenced by posture.”
Freeman was published in the Journal of
American Medical
Association in 1957 stating that “aging in the spinal
discs
caused postural deviations leading to intestinal
diverticula,
hemorrhoids, varicosities of the legs, osteoporosis, hip
and
foot deformities, overall poor health and quality of
life,
as well as a shortened life span.”
Feich, in “The Discovery of the Orgone,”
in 1974 stated
that poor posture-induced tension leads to decreased
blood
flow. This decrease in tissue oxygenation
is a major factor in all disease, including Cancer.
You may not know yet how
much better your body will feel once your posture is
corrected.
